As students we have multiple questions we would like to ask our vice principal. Hopefully some of your questions can be answered with the help of this interview. Below you will find ten questions answered by Mr. Murillo that we hope will inform you a little more about our awesome assistant principal.
1.What led you to become an assistant principal? Some of my past administration inspired me; I saw the impact they made on all students.
2. How can you describe your leadership style? I would like to think my leadership style is Transformational. Modeling and leading by example, and inspiring one to do their best.
3. What’s your favorite food? POZOLE!
4. What are your techniques of discipline or consequence? Be Fair, Consistent, and Clear on Expectations.
5. What has been your biggest challenge working as an assistant principal? I would like to see more students attending the Promotion Ceremony. This requires students to take care of their Attendance, Behavior, and Grades.

7. What is your plan to improve our learning environment? The plan to improve the learning environment focuses on enhancing engagement through personalized instruction, integrating technology, fostering collaboration, and creating supportive, inclusive spaces for all students.
8. What is something you believe needs changed in Pinacate Middle School? We need to create more opportunities for student engagement.
9. What accomplishment are you most proud of? It's hard to choose just one; I am very proud of all the students who take full opportunity to enrich their future.
10. How was your working career before becoming an assistant principal? I was first in the United States Air Force, I then transitioned into becoming a school counselor.
