It rained and the police called in extra people to bring in flashlights more and more. Eventually they came across the boulder and sure enough there was a bouquet of violets smashed into the ground. Evidence was washed away. The next day the mayor of the town gathered citizens to see if they wanted to join the search and now there were over 500 men and they searched a four square mile area. Marjorie West had been missing now for a full 48 hours. They ended up finding a freshly dug grave but they only found a bottle of cherry wine. The next thing that was found was a scrap of lace. The mother said there was no lace on Marjorie's clothing the day she went missing.
