How many cat breeds do you think there are? Well, guess what? There are between 42 and 75 recognized cat breeds in the world.
Different cat breeds include: Siamese cat, Maine coon, Tabby cat and more. Lesser known breeds are Birman, Abyssinian, and Bombay cat.

Siamese cat-
Their striking looks (blue eyes, color points) and unique personality.
Maine coon-
Recognized for their massive size, long, shaggy water-resistant coats, and friendly, intelligent, and dog-like personalities.
Tabby cat-
They have a signature “M” shape on their foreheads.
Birman-
Striking, silky, medium-long, cream-colored coat, deep blue eyes, and, most distinctively, pure white "gloves" on their paws.
Abyssinian-
Intense, ticked coat (resembling a wildcat), extreme agility, and trainability, often learning tricks or walking on leashes.
Bombay cat-
Tendency to play fetch, a soft, communicative voice, and a deep need for human companionship.
Persian cat-
Persian cats are distinguished by their luxurious long coats, brachycephalic (flat) faces, and gentle, docile temperaments, making them ideal, affectionate, and low-energy indoor companions.
Munchkin cat-
Highly active, fast, and intelligent, known for sitting on their haunches like rabbits, stealing items, and maintaining kitten-like playfulness.
Siberian cat-
Siberian cats are specialized, athletic, and highly intelligent "dog-like" companions known for their triple-layered, water-resistant coats, love of water play, and potential hypoallergenic qualities.
Russian Blue-
Are distinguished by their shimmering silver-blue coats, vivid green eyes, and a, reserved yet deeply affectionate, loyal, and intelligent temperament.
