Title: A Mysterious Family of Parallelogram Tilings

Abstract: My favorite part of math research is when you can prove a result, but it still feels mysterious. Inevitably, this means that there is something deeper to explore! I would like to show you one such result involving parallelogram tilings, which has been puzzling me for years. I have no doubt that there are still plenty of surprises to uncover! I recommend bringing some colored pencils and a straight edge since tiling constructions are a lot more fun when they are interactive.
