Dear Pioneer Community,
We are extremely excited about the 2023-24 school year and the opportunities it presents for the Pioneer community and staff. We will continue to build on our many successes as we prepare our students for a bright and thriving future. Our approach to achieving this goal is a focus on developing the whole child through rigorous academics, arts, technology, science, athletics, leadership, and character education.
Our schools have been recognized for outstanding curricular and co-curricular programs.
Each school within the district has been recognized as a California Distinguished School.
The California Department of Education named Pioneer Middle School a Gold Ribbon School with an additional distinction for its exemplary arts program.
Frontier and Pioneer Elementary Schools have been named Honor Roll Schools by the Campaign for Business and Educational Excellence.
Each school within the district has achieved the highest level of recognition for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports by Champion Model Positive Behaviors and Interventions and Supports.
At Pioneer Union Elementary School District, we value your participation and invite you to partner with us in your child’s education and get involved at your child’s school. One way to be involved is to be informed of essential information regarding policies and other information pertaining to your child’s education. Please look for information coming from your child’s school through the weekly bulletin and visit our website for additional information
I thank you for the support you provide to our schools and for working as partners with us in your child’s education.
Sincerely,
Paul van Loon
