Foggy Day Information

Pioneer Union Elementary School District will declare a foggy day schedule whenever visibility in our attendance area is diminished to the extent that it impairs safe transportation for our buses. Since fog may be localized in small areas, the declaration of a foggy day schedule is not dependent on neighboring schools. The foggy day schedule will only determine the school bus schedule for that day. School will start and end at the regular times even if the bus is delayed. You may choose to bring your child to school if you deem it is safe to drive. Your child will not be counted tardy until after the bus delay even if you choose to bring them later on a foggy day.

All classes begin on time. Buses will run according to the following schedule:

Plan A - Buses pick-up 1 ½ hours late

Plan B - Buses pick-up 2 ½ hours late

Plan C - All morning buses cancelled

Plan D - SCHOOL CANCELLED DUE TO SEVERE FOG CONDITIONS

Please note... all afternoon buses will run according to the regular schedule.
