Welcome to my community! I am excited to have you here. First, let me introduce myself, Erica Switzer- I teach 6th grade at Risley International Academy in Pueblo, Co. We are proud to be the Risley Bears and wear red and black on Spirit Day! I am originally from Florence, South Carolina, the military brought me here to Colorado. After my service in the Army, I went back to school for teaching and in May 2018 I graduated from Colorado State University-Pueblo. I am married to my best friend, he owns his own business in Pueblo and is my adventure buddy, we have a son and a dog. We enjoy baseball, camping and playing video games while hanging out as a family.

My path to teaching has been all over the world, I try and bring my sense of adventure and humor to my classroom to engage and motivate my students. Communication and transparency are both tools that I utilize in my classroom and with parents.
