Using the thread of human rights one can springboard from what human rights used to be in Medieval Europe and who was considered to have them to the modern day interpretation of human rights. At this point we can weave in the LGBTQAI+ community and their struggle for basic human rights today. Here we can connect the past and present making it applicable to the students current lives.
