WI TAEPA EXHIBITION VISIT JUNE 2018

In June 2018 we were invited by Jasmine to Toi o Tāmaki Auckland Art Gallery. We were welcomed by Jasmine, Ioka, Nigel and Neal to the the Wi Taepa retrospective exhibition where Nigel talked about Wi Taepa's techniques and style of Māori pottery. We also visited many other parts of the huge gallery and visited the 'magic tree' in Albert Park.

CLAY CLUB VISIT TO TĀMAKI PAENGA HIRA,

THE AUCKLAND WAR MEMORIAL MUSEUM

In March 2018 we were invited by the Pacific Collection Access Project at the Auckland Museum to study Lapita pottery from the Pacific. We were very lucky to be able see the precious taonga and artefacts up close and learn from Barbara, Tarisi, Ma'ara and Jasmine.

2017 CLAY CLUB FOUNDATION

In 2017 Clay Club was formed by a small group of Year 5 and 6 girls. Their idea was simple but brilliant: Dedicate one lunchtime a week to the exploration of playing, working and creating with clay!

Clay Club is student led, non-compulsory and anyone can join.
