LUNCH BUNCH CREW

Help kids open approximately 4,000 Go-Gurts and keep the cafeteria chaos at a manageable level. You'll laught and you'll probaby get applesauce on your shoe, but your kid (and allll the others) will be so happy to see you!

If you are wondering how to get started, what you need to do, or where you can jump in to help, you are in the right place. Read on for quick answers with just enough humor to keep things lively.

Do I need to complete any training to be able to volunteer at BSE?

Yes. All volunteers must complete a short training. Please review this training on our home page and follow the instructions at the end. We promise it is painless and contains zero pop quizzes.

Do I need to register with the county?

Yes. Hillsborough County Public Schools requires all volunteers to be registered. Click here to complete the county application. Once approved, you can officially call yourself a Bobcat Volunteer, which is a very prestigious title.

What are some volunteer opportunities that will be available this year?

We have lots of ways to get involved, whether you want to help during the school day or jump in for special events. Opportunities include:

• Lunch Bunch Crew

• Book Fair

• Wonderland Holiday Shoppe

• Bingo Night

• Bobcat Bash

• PBIS events throughout the year

• Plus more throughout the year as our Bobcat village comes up with new adventures

What is Lunch Bunch Crew?

A chance to help students during lunchtime by opening containers, handing out napkins, and reminding enthusiastic Bobcats to chew before chatting. It is fast-paced, fun, and surprisingly good cardio.

What is the Wonderland Holiday Shoppe?

A festive school store where students shop for small holiday gifts. Volunteers help kids choose items, stay within their budget, and gently guide them away from buying Dad a rubber chicken unless Dad truly deserves one.

What are PBIS events throughout the year?

PBIS events reward students for positive behavior. Depending on the season, volunteers may help run activities, manage stations, serve treats, or offer enthusiastic high fives. No two PBIS events are the same, but they are always fun, upbeat, and full of happy Bobcats.

How do I get notified of volunteer opportunities?

Easy. Make sure you are following the PTA Facebook page, reading the monthly school newsletter, and checking the PTA website. We also send out sign-up links for big events via our GroupMe chat. If you prefer smoke signals, we are still working on that system.
