Sandi Smith

My name is Sandi Smith and I am super excited to be teaching middle school science at PTAA this year! This will be my 16th year teaching! I have taught everything from Kindergarten through high school in reading and math intervention, science, and general education; however, my favorite has always been middle school science. I was born in Massachusetts, but I have been in Colorado Springs for more than 30 years and graduated from Wasson High School. I have my BA from University of Northern Colorado in liberal arts with and earth sciences minor, my MA in Elementary Education from University of Phoenix, and a 2nd MA in educational leadership from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my four children who are seen above supporting one of my many loves which are Boston sports teams: Kellyanna, 16, Brian, 14, Paula, 9 and Olivia 8 and my husband Gavin. I enjoy reading a good book. I also love to sing karaoke!

We also have four cats: Buster, Clyde, CJ and Stormy, who I have included in pictures for you below! We have also recently adopted a crested gecko and named him Anthony!

If you need to contact me, please feel free to email me at ssmith@ptaa.org, or on Remind. Here are the codes for each class: 6th @6c9ad8, 7th @67gbfdk, 8th @k3cfbh7  I will return your message within 24 hours.
