Social Studies is not just about memorizing dates or facts—it’s about understanding how human civilizations develop, thrive, and connect.
This year, we’ll be using a powerful tool called GRAPES to guide our learning across grades. GRAPES stands for:
G – Geography: Where did civilizations live? How did the land shape their lives?
R – Religion: What beliefs united people or caused conflict? How did religion influence culture?
A – Achievements: What legacies in art, science, and ideas did they leave behind?
P – Politics: How were governments formed? Who held power, and why?
E – Economics: What resources were traded? How did money and goods flow?
S – Social Structure: What roles did people play in society? How was daily life shaped?
