My name is Lori Laskowski, or as the kids call me Mrs. L. I am very excited for this new school year and joining the PTAA team. I am a true believer of the concept, "It takes a village." 

     I have been teaching for 24 plus years. I have art for 8 of those years. I received my degree at MSU of Denver. I have an IDP in communication and education.  I love teaching Art . I'm a firm believer art is a true avenue of self-expression. Two of my favorite quotes are, "The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider's web." Pablo Picasso.  Another is, "Creativity takes Courage." Henri Matisse. I have experienced so many awe-inspiring rewards teaching art and seeing the world through young creative minds. 

     I am married, have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. My husband's name is Ron.  I have a son named Nate and a daughter named Noelle and my grandchildren's names are Drew, 4 and April, 3. My son was a Marine and now is studying aviation and my daughter studied event meeting planning at Johnson and Whales and is currently living in Japan. Her husband attended the AFA and is a pilot. I have visited them 3 times so far in Japan. What a beautiful country. 

     I love to spend my free time engaging in art projects, crafting and attending community events, especially in the arts.  I have a strong background in art and art history. I also enjoy international cooking and trying new things.
