My name is Lori Laskowski, or as the kids call me Mrs. L. I am very excited for this school year. This is my 3rd year at PTAA. I am a true believer of the concept, "It takes a village." 

     I have been teaching for 26 plus years. I have been teaching art for 9 of those years. I received my degree at MSU of Denver. I have an IDP in communication and education.  I love teaching Art . I'm a firm believer art is a true avenue of self-expression. Two of my favorite quotes are, "The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider's web." Pablo Picasso.  Another is, "Creativity takes Courage." Henri Matisse. I have experienced so many awe-inspiring rewards teaching art and seeing the world through young creative minds. 

     I am married, have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. My husband's name is Ron, he is a senior project manager for Golf Tec.  I have a son named Nate and a daughter named Noelle and my grandchildren's names are Drew, 6 and April, 5. My son was a Marine, recieved his degree in aviation and now is an officer in the Navy. My daughter studied and has her degree in event meeting planning from Johnson and Whales and is currently living in Tucson, Arizona. Her husband attended the AFA and is a pilot in the air force. They were stationed in Japan for 3 years. I had the privilege to visit them 5 times while they were in Japan. What a beautiful country. 

     I love to spend my free time engaging in art projects, crafting and attending community events, especially in the arts.  I have a strong background in art and art history. I also enjoy international cooking and trying new things.
