Try this calculator if the other one doesn't work. The buttons are in different places but it works
Periodic Functions have graphs that repeat.... they basically go around the Unit circle. This week you will learn how to create all 3 versions as well as use
Target 1: Graph the Sine and Cosine functions
Target 2: Graph periodic functions using the midline, the amplitude, and the period
Target 3: Apply the rules of periodic functions to model a Ferris wheel problem
Part 1. Intro Periodic Functions
-Watch the video on the Ferris Wheel in the app
"Ferris Wheel Intro"
-Complete Part 1 in the Periodic Functions App
QZM5-FZH8-2QPB8
Part 1. Translations
-Complete Part 2 and 4 in the Periodic Functions App
-There is 1 form that you have to complete at the end
Part 2. Intro Periodic Functions
-Click on this link and make a copy of this practice document
-Use it for the discussion prompts and complete the amplitude part of each problem
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gMsBz6HKmdwHoi42_W50bM6euDFQauYVuyw4dRs6U2g/copy
Part 3: Discussion
-Go to Schoology
Part 1. Khanacademy practice
-Go to the Khanacademy website and practice the following section.
- What is important is that you understand when to use the formulas and that you know how to do the work to get the right answer at the end.
-That website has videos and hints in case you get stuck
You will not get credit for completing these on this site... you will get credit for the discussion that follows, so make sure you read the prompts.
Part 2. Practice the Period
-Continue to work on the form from yesterday
-Complete the period part of each problem
Part 3: Discussion
-Go to Schoology
-Complete Part 5 in the Periodic Functions App
-There is 1 form that you have to complete at the end
Part 2.Project
complete the practice form with full work/explanations (submit it in Schoology)
Part 4. Start your project
Ask questions if you have any in the discussion forum
(Due by Friday night)
Part 1: Discussion (optional)
Part 2: Submit your project
Due by Monday 11:59 pm
