Students learn how to develop a growth mindset and apply research-based goal-setting strategies to their social and academic lives.

Recognizing Bullying & Harassment
Students learn how to recognize bullying and harassment, stand up safely to bullying, and respond appropriately to harassment.

Understand the potential negative impacts of bullying by taking the perspective of targets and bystanders
Assess the risks and benefits of using different upstander strategies to respond to bullying under various circumstances
Be an upstander by making a responsible decision in bullying situations

Students learn how to recognize strong emotions and unhelpful thoughts, and they learn to apply strategies for managing their emotions and reducing stress.

We provide tier 2 support by having students participate in groups. Along with their peers students will be able to participate in a curriculum that benefits their behavior and social and emotional growth.
Girl Groups
While participating in the girls group, students will:
learn to work together as a team
work on building self-esteem
learn conflict resolution skills
Identify bullying and become upstanders
understand the dangers of social media
Grief Group
While participating in the grief group, students will:
start working through their loss with the guidance of others who've been through similar experiences
to help individuals normalize and embrace their emotions during the grief process.
Increased understanding of grief and loss
Develop vocabulary to describe feelings of grief and loss.
Develop a short-term action plan for dealing with grief and loss.
