Mrs. Biggert is in her 30th year as a teacher, all of which have been at Cielo Vista.  She has taught multiple grades, and has her Master's Degree in Reading. 

Mrs. Biggert loves reading, and books!  Sparking a passion for reading in students is her mission, and it brings her so much joy!  She loves to read and collect picture books, and chapter books written for kids, and does this daily.  She believes that if you don't like to read, you just haven't found THE book YET!  Reading is essential for growth in all areas of school, but also for growth as an individual. 

 Her favorite reading quote that supports the idea of reading in school and the importance of book access and choice, comes from Rudine Sims Bishop.  “Books,” she wrote, “are sometimes windows, offering views of worlds that may be real or imagined, familiar or strange. These windows are also sliding glass doors, and readers have only to walk through in imagination to become part of whatever world has been created and recreated by the author.
