This culminating project will be represented by the Junior ABLE Academy Students @ the Palm Springs Air Museum on May 17th, 2018, 4:00-7:00 pm.

PROJECT GRADING DEADLINES

Round #1: JANUARY

  • Business Plan - (12 pt. font, 1.5 line spacing, print back-to-back, max 20 pages, not including appendices)
  • Company Overview, Mission Statement, Management Functions: Planning (what are the company goals?) Organizing (Org. Chart with descriptions), Directing (Human Resource issues), Controlling (How does firm monitor progress toward achieving goals?)
  • Color Description Page: color names, fonts, styles
  • Business Card
  • Company Letterhead

Round #2: MID=FEBRUARY

  • Catalog (w/ order form)
  • Company brochure (tri-fold)
  • Press Release
  • Social Media Plan

Round #3: EARLY MARCH

  • Sales Invoice
  • Website

Round #4: LATE MARCH

  • S.W.O.T. Analysis (updated for 2nd semester research/study)
  • P.E.S.T.E.L. Analysis (updated for 2nd semester research/study)
  • Market Summary: (including a "snapshot" of the economic environment, employment levels, interest rates, rate of inflation/deflation, rate of change of GD, balance of trade, exchange rates)
  • Marketing Mix: Product (how does it satisfy customer NEEDS?), Price (Pricing Objectives, Pricing Strategy: Demand-, Cost-, or Competition-based?), Place/placement, (where do sales come from?), Promotion (how do customers know about your business), Positioning (what image are you creating)?
  • Marketing Plan: including Target Market (demographics, geography, psychographics, benefits, etc...)
  • Discussion of Business Risks

SHOWTIME!!!!! May 17, 2018, 3:30-7:30 p.m.

Palm Springs Air Museum

Full Business Attire Required (including ABLE polo w/ Black Pants or Skirts, Black Belts, Black, Brown, or Gray Business Shoes, Flats, Low Heals (no open toe sandals allowed))

3 employees from each company at the booth each shift (others will be exploring/visiting academy competitor booths from around the district, NETWORKing , rotate booth shifts every 15 minutes as you see fit. All employees need their business cards to hand out as part of your communication/sales/info delivery. All Company Personnel (students) are expected to be at competition from set-up, show starts at 4:00 thru end of cleanup - show ends at 7:00. This is counting as majority percentage of your FINAL EXAM.
