About Project SIBOL
This project, SIBOL: Student Leaders Initiative for Bold, Optimistic, and Responsible Leadership, was initiated in 2024 and is currently being implemented in partnership with San Jose National High School in Puerto Princesa City. This initiative was developed in direct response to a request from Ms. Charlyn Nichelle C. Acosta, a teacher and SSLG adviser at the institution. One university-approved activity has already been successfully conducted on March 14, 2024, covering topics such as preparing minutes of meetings, parliamentary procedures, and resolution writing.
Following this activity, a needs assessment was conducted to identify remaining gaps that require further intervention. The results of this assessment served as the basis for formulating the present documents of Project SIBOL.
The title of the project was collaboratively identified by the project proponents and the student leaders.
The project aims to further enhance the capacities of the HUMSS Society student leaders of San Jose National High School, particularly in preparing organizational documents, a key area of improvement identified through the needs assessment.
Specific Objectives:
Conduct necessary capacity-building activities (e.g., seminars, workshops) for Student Leaders in terms of document preparation and completion to further the delivery of services to their constituents;
Facilitate workshops on how to do proper fiscal management; and
Provide additional legitimate spaces for the formulation and production of outputs or policies that can be used by these student leaders in strengthening their service delivery.
Accomplishments
A university-approved activity conducted on March 14, 2024, covering topics such as preparing minutes of meetings, parliamentary procedures, and resolution writing.
A university-approved activity conducted on January 15, 2026, which covered topics such as the importance of voting and the process of creating a political party and platform through video presentations.
