The podcast production team for NSCE 2020 is from Penn State Brandywine in Media, Pennsylvania.

Anna Nguyen

Anna Nguyen is a sophomore undergraduate student researcher at Penn State Brandywine. Her major is food science, and she would like to work in food development for NASA and MRE manufacturers in the future. She enjoys baking and drawing in her free time.

Dallas Barber

Dallas Barber is an undergraduate student at Penn State Brandywine. She is a first-year student pursuing a major in international politics and she would like to have a career as a foreign service officer in the United States Embassy in South Korea. She enjoys writing and watching HGTV and Jeopardy.

Alsatia Haas-Tome

Alsatia Haas-Tome is a sophomore at Penn State Brandywine pre-majoring in social sciences/humanities and working towards a B.S. degree in Psychology. In addition, will be completing a certificate in Earth Sustainability. She likes to make herself a part of climate action whenever there is the opportunity.

Dr. Laura Guertin

Dr. Laura Guertin is a Professor of Earth Science at Penn State Brandywine. She has an undergraduate degree in geology from Bucknell University and a PhD in marine geology and geophysics from the University of Miami – Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. For over a decade, her students enrolled in her introductory-level Earth science courses for non-science majors have authored and recorded non-fiction audio files shared on campus and beyond. She is a part of a grant funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) on Student Produced Audio Narratives (SPAN). Dr. G is a passionate science communicator and a blogger for the American Geophysical Union at GeoEd Trek and at her personal blog Journeys of Dr. G. She is a fan of the WSJ podcast The Future of Everything and hopes some day to host a Podcast Brunch Club and start her own podcast series.
