Welcome to MRI's MSC Gather.Town

Mission

To create a virtual space in Gather.Town to support materials-related and multidisciplinary research and enable collaboration during COVID-19 times when people are not able to physically meet. MRI created this space for the Millennium Café talks, group meetings, and other events so that multiple teams can collaborate simultaneously "in the same room" while also allowing for larger discussions to be had with the entire group.

Resources and Requests to Reserve

The Materials Research Institute is offering the use of our Gather.Town platform for materials-related meetings and events. This space is offered as a "self-serve" platform and can hold up to 200 participants at one gathering. With the use of our tutorials and guides, the expectation is to use the space(s) as-is and without any technical support or "onsite" support during the event.
