ITCS Communication & Collaboration Services is responsible for planning, designing, and deploying technology-enhanced communication and collaboration resources at PSU, along with the underlying organizational and technical infrastructure and service provider relationships necessary to ensure their availability, usability, security, and support.
PSU offers many equipment, software, systems and academic aliances that assist teachers and students to meet their educational expectations and to support learning activities or research projects.

Information security is the set of processes that protect information assets, it is a strategy comprised of the processes, tools and policies necessary to prevent, detect, document and counter threats. It is designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of computer system data from those with malicious intentions.
PSU secured an agreement with Google to offer PSU Google Apps for Education to our faculty, registered students, and staff. The agreement provides access to core apps, with terms of service different from consumer apps and designed to protect intellectual property rights and privacy.
PSU in collaboration with Google, Inc., provides a Gmail interface for student and staff email. This system features unlimited email storage, enhanced mail search, Instant Messenger chat integration, access to Google Drive and full calendar use.
PSU wired campus network provides access to the Internet, University IT systems, online services and applications.
PSU wireless network allows users the freedom to make use of Wi-Fi enabled devices to connect to the Internet without needing to plug in a cable. It offers fast, reliable connections at data rates of up to 100Mbps.
A variety of conferencing tools are available to facilitate collaboration with other users across campus or around the world. With capabilities ranging from one-on-one meetings to large-scale presentations.
Moodle is a Learning Management System (LMS) that enables easy communication between students and teachers. It also provides several features, such as: uploading course material, announcements, file exchange and file sharing, assignments and homework, online assignments and quizzes, gradebook, chat and discussion board.
An interactive board is an instructional tool that allows computer images to be displayed onto a board using a projector. It is a powerful tool in the classroom adding interactivity and collaboration, allowing the integration of media content into the lecture and supporting collaborative learning.
NetSupport School is a classroom management solution, providing teachers with the ability to instruct and visually/audibly monitor, as well as interact with their students, individually, as a predefined group or to the whole class. It provides the ability to deliver lesson content, simultaneously monitor all student PCs and work collaboratively, ensuring that complete student attention and focus is maintained at all times.
Through DreamSpark, PSU provides Microsoft operating systems and developer tools to its faculty, staff, and students through its DreamSpark WebStore agreement. The DreamSpark subscription includes the most current Microsoft operating systems, server products, and development software (Visual Studio, SDKs, DDKs), tools to be used in software development and teaching courses on software development and other computer-related topics.
Student Profile program is one of the most important programs that provides a portal for students to fill their personal information, check their academic profile and violations, sign PSU student pledge and collect points
The Interactive Orientation Program for newly registered students is one of the most important programs that orient students and introduce them to the requirements of their undergraduate study, including PSU’s programs and procedures, and the requirements of university life.
“Labbayh System” is a communication method between students and administration regarding different feedback and problems. It aims to facilitate student’s services and save both time and effort for the student and the university. It features a case documentation service and it works as report system, in which every case is given a ticket number and gets followed up by the system. The service, along with its new features, will be launched soon.

Software programs and tools are used to scan the network & the attached terminals to protect them from viruses and malicious attacks. The scanning process is done continuously and is initiated through a protection server. It is also possible to scan PCs or any attached drives on demand.
