Event Presented by Amanda Saldaña, Attorney at Law

PSJA Alumna Amanda Saldaña is an attorney based in Edinburg. She is currently General Counsel of Pathfinder Public Affairs where she interacts with members of Texas government on behalf of her clients and the organizations she contributes her time to. In her law practice, Amanda represents her wide-range of clients with a warm and honest demeanor ensuring their concerns are addressed and needs are met.

Amanda is a direct product of the PSJA school system. Her father, the late Leonel Saldaña, was the Chief of Police in Pharr, Texas where he was born and raised, and her mother, Flor Saldaña, is a 34-year veteran teacher of Bowie Elem. and McKeever Elem. in Alamo.

Amanda attended Bowie Elem., Pharr Elem., Memorial Middle School and graduated number 9 in her class at PSJA North High School in 2002, where she participated in various clubs and extracurricular programs. She then went on to attend Baylor University where she graduated with a degree in Cultural Anthropology and completed her legal education at Thurgood Marshall School of Law - Texas Southern University.

Amanda’s political career began through her father’s involvement on the local level. For the past 12 years she has consulted for over 12 political candidates and ballot initiatives on the local, state, and federal levels, most recently dedicating her time to Texas Senate Democratic Nominee Morgan LaMantia.

Amanda has also worked in Washington, DC for then Congressional Democratic Chairman Xavier Becerra where she spearheaded the first ever Latino Leader Roundtable, which brought Latino business persons, political figures, and advocates together from across the nation to discuss some of the most critical issues affecting our people. She also interacted with all 205 Democratic Members of Congress to ensure their offices were equipped and trained on legislative changes for their constituencies.

Amanda currently serves as a board member of the RGV Partnership, which is composed of community-minded business leaders and is also an alumni of the Texas Lyceum.

When Amanda isn’t working, she really enjoys fishing anywhere she can and spending time with her tribe and French Bulldog, Enrique, “aka” Kîke.
