Parents Association/Student Awards June 15th 6:30 pm

Tonight we will be celebrating our 8th graders during the class of 2021 virtual awards ceremony. The ceremony will take place virtually and will begin at 6 PM. All links will be posted on your child's homeroom page as well as be sent by your child's homeroom teacher. All students will be receiving special awards and we invite all parents and family to join. Congratulations to the class of 2021!

Following an initial 24 hour closure of our school building, the NYC Test Trace Corps (T2) and the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) have determined that the building must remain closed through 3/22/2021. We will reopen for in-person learning on the 23rd (Tuesday).

To: Entire School Staff, Parents, Students -

The building will reopen on Monday, March 8th, we will reopen as follows:

Monday, March 8th-elementary in person students will return and all in person staff elementary and middle school staff will report to building

Tuesday, March 9th-middle school in person students return to building

6th grade students 5 days a week

7th and 8th grade students follow the A/B schedule follow calendar

Middle School parent teacher conferences will take place virtually on Thursday, March 11, 2021 between 12PM-2PM and 5PM-7PM.

Reports cards will not be given out as we are in the middle of the third marking period.

In person Middle School students will be dismissed at 11:00 AM from the East 22nd street side door.

There will be a town hall meeting with Mrs. Quigley on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 5 PM. Please be reminded that this meeting is for parents and guardians. Students are not permitted to attended. Translators will be available throughout the meeting.

P.S./I.S. 206 in Collaboration with Puppetry in Practice at Brooklyn College invite you to “Travel Around the World” with our Family Saturday Program!

Please join us for a series of fun-filled remote family workshops which include storytelling, puppetry and art making to celebrate our rich diversity and cultures from around the world. 12 Saturdays from 10:00am – 12:00pm beginning 2/27/21 You do not need to commit to all Saturdays. Please join us for as many as you like. This is a family program, so all members of your family are welcome.

Due to a positive COVID case during random testing, the PS 206 school building will be closed for live instruction for Friday, January 22, 2021. This is a 24 hour closure and ALL students will be remote learning tomorrow.

Tuesday and Wednesday are A days for blended students. Thursday is B day and Friday is C day. Middle school remains remote until further notice.

11/25 Updated letter from Chancellor Carranza

District 22 Updates, Events, Dates and Important links

Important Announcement: All NYC Schools are remote until further notice. There will be no blended classes coming in to the building starting tomorrow, November 19th. See attached update.

The DOE will be opening the window for families requesting change from 100% remote to blended learning is closing on Sunday 11/15/2020. If you want to change your child to blended, this is the only window the NYCDOE is offering.

Monday, November 2 – Sunday,November15:Blended Learning Opt-In Window for Families and Link

Families requesting to change from 100% remote to blended learning should complete and submit the Learning Preference survey during this window.

The start date will be announced shortly will be between 11/30 -12/7.


Middle School Parent Teacher Conferences are on November 19th, 2020. There are two sessions, afternoon 12:00-2:00 and evening 5:00-7:30. All sessions will be virtual as there will be no in-person conferences. There will be a half day on November 19th for Middle School students, they will be dismissed at 11AM.

November 5th is Elementary (gradesk-5) Parent Teacher Conference. All meetings will be virtual as there will be no in school meetings.

Breakfast and Lunch available at 206 during closure from 9AM-12PM school days.
