Special Science Teacher III
Philippines Science High School-
Main Campus in Quezon City
Rey Niño Baguio builds his practice on a simple observation: gifted learners know how to be smart, but not always how to struggle. Trained as a physicist and computer engineer at the Ateneo de Manila University, he has taught Integrated Science and Earth Science at the PSHS Main Campus for over a decade. It is this grounding in science that draws him toward pedagogy as a discipline in its own right. Over a 16-year career, the classroom has become his terrain for developing the habits and strategies that carry students through difficulty. Looking ahead, he hopes to champion science-based learning strategies beyond his own classroom — sparking wider conversation about how teachers and students alike can harness the science of learning every day.
