Ms. Erika Eunice P. Salvador
Ms. Erika Eunice P. Salvador holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Master of Chemistry from the University of the Philippines Visayas. She is a licensed chemist and secondary school teacher at the Philippine Science High School Western Visayas Campus. Before pursuing her Doctor of Education at the Queensland University of Technology, she was the Chemistry Unit Head and Science Immersion Program coordinator, collaborating with international and local STEM research agencies for high school internships. Her projects include innovations in chemistry teaching, K-12 curriculum development for post-pandemic learning, and science communication through her YouTube channel, Erika’s class. Additionally, she authors high school textbooks for science and research. Currently, Erika’s thesis focuses on sustainable practices and policies for STEM work-integrated learning programs and their stakeholders. With her varied interests in STEM education and internships, she collaborates with colleagues like Mr. Vijit V. Nautiyal (The University of Queensland, University of New England – game-based learning and internships) and Mr. Sandro A. Silverio (SST 2 – mathematics education).
