ATTY. KHAY ANN C. MAGUNDAYAO-BORLADO

Currently, she is the Officer-in-Charge of the Philippine Commission on Women, the primary policy-making and coordinating body on gender equality and women's empowerment, and the Oversight Officer for the Inter Agency Council on Violence Against Women and Children Secretariat. Prior to her assumption of office in the PCW, she was in private practice of law for the Magundayao-Borlado Law Office. She also served as the Municipal Administrator of Aliaga, Nueva Ecija, in 2020–2022, and was the manager of various businesses, hers and her family’s. DD Maggie, as she is fondly called, is passionate about linking, improving, and increasing support for women and youth. As a staunch advocate of gender equality and human rights, she took on pro bono cases to aid marginalized people in her hometown, with a particular focus on violence against women and children and human trafficking. Her legal prowess and dedication to women's empowerment causes, honed as a litigation and trial lawyer, propel her transformative work at the Philippine Commission on Women.
