Dr. P.K. Kannan completed his bachelor's degree in Physics from Gandhigram University. He completed his Masters Degree in Applied Physics from the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli. He got his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. He was awarded prestigious SERB-Overseas Visiting Doctoral Fellowship to pursue his research in Purdue University, USA. He has a 3 years of teaching experience and 8 years research experience. At present, he is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, PSGiTech, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. His areas of expertise include the synthesis of oxides and sulfide semiconductors for optoelectronic devices and photocatalytic applications.
