The Baseball Program at Timnath High School is designed to provide a positive and challenging experience both on and off the field for all involved. The following components make up the Timnath Baseball Program core values and stride to provide and teach each student-athlete:

Timeline of Baseball Events

• Tryouts for Summer 2024 will be on Sunday August 27th at 1:00pm

• Tryouts are for 8th graders plus any 9th-11th graders who did not make a team last spring or summer, or have not played on a Timnath team yet.

• Cubs Summer Ball 2024:

• Top Team (Varsity) will play a highly competitive 16U/17U tournament schedule. 

• Lower Team (JV/C) will play a local legion schedule and 3-4 local 15U tournmants. 

• More information on what will be needed for the tryout will be announced soon. 

• There will not be a fall-ball program at Timnath. Playing another sport in the fall and/or winter is highly encouraged! Being a multi-sport athlete has many benefits including reducing overuse injury and mental burn out from playing baseball year-round. 

• Pre-season training (specific dates and times TBD)

• Once a week morning batting practice sessions will start in the fall. TBD

• Strength and Conditioning will start in November (3 days per week).

• Morning batting practice 2x per week starting in December.

• Pitching program plus batting practice will start after Winter break in January 2-3 days per week in addition to strength and conditioning after school and leading up until Spring Tryouts.

• Spring 2024 tryouts (9th-11th graders) February 26th - February 28th

• Varsity: 14-16 players

• JV: 12 players

• C Team: 12 players 

• Varsity Spring Break: 4-5 Days off. Grand Junction Trip TBA

• Season runs through the middle of May with state playoffs through the end of May.

• Summer season starts a week or two after spring season ends.
