About Me
Educational background:
I moved to Colorado when I was in 9th grade. I attended Webber Junior High and Rocky Mountain High School. After graduating, I went to Colorado State University (CSU) and graduated with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. After that I attended the University of Colorado at Denver (UCD) for my Teacher Licensure Program and Masters degree. My teaching career began at Cache La Poudre Elementary in Laporte. I started teaching fourth grade in 2002. After having my own children and taking some time off, I came to Tavelli to teach fourth grade again. Even though I loved fourth grade, I decided I wanted to try another grade level and moved to teach 2nd grade. I really enjoyed 2nd grade and decided to stay here for a while. This is my 14th year in 2nd grade and my 21st year of teaching.
Here is a picture of my family. My husband and I just celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary this summer.
I have two daughters ages 16 and 18. My youngest will be in 11th grade and my oldest will be starting her freshman year in college. I am so thankful for my kiddos because they bring such joy into our lives everyday. We love doing things together as a family. We enjoy playing games, doing puzzles, reading, watching movies, playing sports, cooking, and paddleboarding.
Clyde is such a big puppy. He will be a 4 in December. He is full of energy and likes to eat anything he sees...socks are his favorite unfortunately🥺.
We also have 2 cats, Captain and Whiskers, who are quite curious and like to run through the house at all hours of the night.
