Annual Shepardson STEM Elementary Science and Engineering Fair

Hi Shepardson STARS! 

The 2024 Shepardson STEM Science and Engineering Fair will be on Tuesday, February 27! 

You can spend the weekend putting all the finishing touches on your display board and making sure your Science and Engineering Fair notebook or journal is updated and filled with all sorts of great notes and data! Remember, you’ll need to have your notebook or journal as part of your science fair display.  We can wait to see all the terrific projects! 

Here are some dates to make note of: 

• Monday, February 26:  Science and Engineering Fair Display Drop-off, 8:00 – 8:30 a.m. or 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Display boards and other project materials should be brought to the Shepardson Gym for set up. They can be dropped off before or after school. Additionally, they can be dropped off during the school day by making arrangements with Mrs. Woodcox. All Science and Engineering Fair projects must be placed in the gym by 4:30 on Monday afternoon.  

• Tuesday, February 27, 9:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Science Fair Judging in the Shepardson Gym. Projects will be judged by members of the community. The judges’ observations will be shared with the participants. (Please note: No visitors during this portion of the Fair.)

• Tuesday, February 27, 1:30 - 3:15 p.m.: Science and Engineering Fair Open House. Parents and other guests are invited to the Shepardson Gym to view the Science and Engineering Fair displays. 

• Tuesday, February 27, 3:15 - 3:30 p.m.: Science and Engineering Fair Recognition Ceremony. We will recognize fair participants and winners in a short ceremony. Parents and other guests are invited to attend. Please plan to take your display board home following the Recognition Ceremony. 

We are excited to have students from all grade levels participating in this year's Science and Engineering Fair.
