Math:
We’ve been learning multiple strategies for adding two-digit numbers with regrouping. We’ll continue practicing this throughout November. Check out our unit 4 website below! We’re always strengthening our understanding of place value and building our fact fluency.
Reading:
We just launched our new module unit! Throughout this unit, we’ll learn about paleontologists and how they use fossils to understand Earth’s past. Check out our Fossils Tell of Earth's Changes below!
Our phonics and spelling focus is the three sounds of -ed. For our read-aloud, we’re enjoying Mr. Popper’s Penguins!
Science:
We just completed our first PBL, and I’m so proud of the kids for all their hard work!
We’re now learning about erosion and the incredible strength of water and time. Check out our Erosion website below!
Social Studies:
We’ve been expanding our vocabulary as we explore urban, suburban, and rural communities. Students have also been learning how to read and interpret maps.
Social Emotional Learning:
This month’s character trait is compassion! We’re practicing how to move respectfully through shared school spaces and continue to follow our Shepardson Respect Code:
