Welcome, Pumas. I am excited to be starting my 14^th year teaching middle school math. This year I am teaching math 8 and algebra 2 but have taught most courses from 6^th grade math to algebra 2. In 2006, I earned my bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a secondary education endorsement from Western State Colorado University. After a few years of teaching, I decided to go back to school and earned my master’s in mathematics with an emphasis in secondary education in 2012 from the University of Northern Colorado.

The best part of teaching is being able to connect with kids each day. I get to laugh, play, and have fun while at the same time teaching student’s math. I believe all students can learn and it is a pleasure to get to see them grow as a person and a mathematician.

On my free time you will see me hanging out with my family at the karate dojo, baseball fields, or riding our bikes.

Fun Fact: Preston Middle School opened in 1994 and I was a student at Preston!
