Intro to Culinary Arts
Intro to Culinary Arts is a popular elective at Preston. Basic cooking skills and new recipes are practiced weekly in this hands-on class. We discuss nutrition and wellness, focusing on the food categories grains, protein, fruits and vegetables. We create delicious foods like Chewy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies and Creamy Tomato Pasta as we learn throughout the semester. Students bring home a recipe book at the end of the semester so they can show their families what they’ve learned and make these recipes for years to come.
