Mark Kucza - Head Coach
This is my second year as the head coach at Poudre. When I moved here 11 years ago, Poudre High School was my first job in Fort Collins. From the moment I stepped in the building I knew I wanted to be a part of the Impala community.
My running background is lengthy, much like everyone else's. I started running in junior high and never looked back. I've tackled everything from short relay triathlons with friends, multiple marathons, to pacing my twin brother through trail races. The sport of running has so much to offer and I am excited to share that with this team.
Sarah Noble - Assistant Coach
I am excited to coach again at Poudre! The students are amazing and I am looking forward to learning from them and sharing my love for running! I graduated from Poudre with my twin and we went on to run for CSU. I have six kids; three of which have been part of Poudre cross country. Running is a life long sport and I can't wait to inspire young athletes to meet their goals! Go Poudre!
Victoria Funk - Assistant Coach
¡Hola! I’m Victoria Funk the new Assistant Cross Country Coach at Poudre High School! I am also a Spanish teacher in the World Languages department at Poudre where I teach Spanish 2 and 3 as well as Spanish Literacy 3 to our heritage students. As a coach, I hope my love of running will spill over into all our wonderful athletes, many of whom I have had in my classroom. My dad started entering me in fun runs when I was 4 years old, and I have had the bug ever since. I was a competitive runner in high school and earned many scholarship offers for college. As an adult my running has evolved from marathons to trails to trail ultras. Today I love running in the backcountry with my husband and exploring all the wild areas of our region. ¡Viva los Impalas!
Dylan Kahn - Assistant Coach
Hello! I’m Dylan, assistant coach and social worker here at Poudre High School.
I, like my fellow coaches, have a passion for running that dates back to middle school. As a high school track and cross country runner in Illinois, I bought in early and became one of the leaders on my team, demonstrating that even those without immense talent could have success if they trained diligently. After training on my own through college, I have remained committed to pounding out miles on the dirt with the intent of running up and down very large hills. I’m a big believer in all that cross country running can offer mentally, physically, and spiritually. There is nothing quite like high school cross country and I’m honored to be coaching here at PHS.
