How does a Venus Flytrap know when to snap shut? Can it feel an insect's tiny legs? And how to cherry blossoms know when to bloom? Can they remember the weather? For centuries we have collectively marveled at plant diversity and form. In this course and expedition you will look at the unity and diversity of the plant kingdom, basic plant biology and taxonomy, as well as discover how plants experience the world - from their colors they see to the schedules they keep. As a culminating project, you will conduct your own independent project to investigate the development and growth of plants in their environment.
