The purpose of Credit Recovery is for students to work at their own pace; however, you must make progress with passing grades to continue in the course. Courses are 5 credits each and must be completed by the end of the term (quarter). You can work anytime on tutorials, quizzes, and assignments. Pre-tests and Exams are locked and must be taken during class time only with the teacher proctoring.
Grades are entered weekly in your StudentVUE Grade Book. The grade entered is the same as your current grade in your Apex or Blackboard course based on completed quizzes, assignments, and exams. We will also enter your "percent complete" (Blackboard) or "overdue assignments" (Apex). This is for information only to help you track your progress.
Your Credit Recovery Course
Apex Students: You will need to complete each unit in order. You have two attempts at each quiz. If you need the third and final attempt, you will need turn in your completed study guides for that quiz. After we see that you have good notes, the third and final attempt will be unlocked.
Blackboard Students (Humanities only): This course is mainly assignment based with a test at the end of each unit. Please work in order of the units. You are allowed to revise and resubmit an assignment once for a maximum of 2 submissions per assignment. Tests are limited to 1 attempt and must be taken during class with the teacher proctoring.
