Period 5

¡Hola, hola!

My name is Lindsey Healy or Señora Healy for my students. I am originally from Ohio, but have lived in Colorado since I was eight. I grew up in Littleton and then went to the best college in the world, University of Colorado at Boulder---go Buffs! I have a 1.5 year old daughter named Madeleine and a cute dog named Lucy.

I graduated with a degree in Spanish and teaching and moved down to Colorado Springs to teach high school for a year. I moved up to Fort Collins in 2012 after getting married and won't ever leave! I love it here. I got my Master's degree in Spanish from UNC in Greeley in 2017, and I really love being both a student and a teacher.

I teach using acquisition based methods. This means, you should learn your second language the way you learned your first- by listening and reading! We start with the basics in Spanish one (numbers, basic target structures, family) and read a chapter book in Spanish two, along with sports and past times.

Hope to see you in class!
