I've been teaching since 2006. I graduated from Oakland University with a BA in Art History and Journalism. There, I was also a member of the Division I Women's Swim Team. I returned to school for Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification in K-6 Elementary Education and K-12 Art Education at Madonna University in Michigan. I have spent my teaching career in 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 6th Grade, Reading Intervention and Middle School Math.
I am originally from Southeast Michigan, but moved to Colorado in 2008. I love all the active outdoor adventuring Colorado has to offer and I can't imagine living anywhere else.Â
When I'm not in school, I enjoy competitive swimming with FAST Masters, running with the Fort Collins Running Club and on the trails, biking to local farmers markets and watering holes, exploring all that Northern Colorado has to offer, gardening and reading. I also like to spend time with my beau, my daughter Sara and my dog Finn who you can find in a trailer on the back of my bike talking like the true husky she is.
