About Me

Hi 😊

I am the new 1st grade teacher at O'Dea! I have been at Tavelli Elementary for the last 6 years as a Kindergarten (and one year as a 5th grade) teacher. I love these little people I get to spend my day with - I am super passionate about Elementary Education and the importance of the beginning years of the school journey - and I am a strong advocate of young people in general. :)

I am married, with two school-age children of my own. I am very excited about continuing my teaching journey at O'dea. I feel like the people that I have met and interacted with at your (OUR!) school are a great fit for me and what I think is important.

. . . writing about yourself is hard . . . here's some things that you might think are cool .

  • I grew up as a theater kid and worked professionally after High School in local venues and on tours.

  • Outside of Kindergarten (and now 1st grade), I also am a Choreographer of musicals for local High Schools - right now am just focusing on Fort Collins High.

  • I love Harry Potter

  • I worked for 10 years in Early Childhood

  • I ran after school programs and Summer Day Camps for those 10 years too

  • I went back to school at 40 to get my Masters and teaching license

  • Traveling and Vacationing with my family, reading, shopping, the beach, coffee and glitter
