Hello, and welcome to the 2022-23 school year. My name is Melissa Murray. I am very excited to start my first year as a special education teacher. I have worked in the school district the last 5 years. I started out as a paraprofessional in the SED program at Preston, and the last 3 years as a Registered Behavior Technician for the district supporting behavior in multicat and center based programs district wide. I have a bachelors degree in Art education from Westfield State University, and am currently enrolled at CU Denver. I grew up in Massachusetts and moved to Colorado in 2004. I have two middle school aged kids Kaya and Jude. My family and I like to be outside as much as possible, biking, hiking, paddle boarding, camping, painting. I have one dog named Bernie and a cat named Jupiter. I am looking forward to working with you and collaborating this year!
