I’m Mr. King, your Computer Science Teacher, EdTech enthusiast, creative problem-solver, and occasional technology negotiator here at Kruse Elementary! With 17 years of experience in technology, multimedia, and education, I love helping students explore coding, digital creativity, AI, cybersecurity, 3D design, and all the wonderfully weird things technology can do. My goal is simple: create a place where kids feel safe to experiment, curious enough to ask questions, and confident enough to say, “Let’s see what happens!”
I’m also a proud dad and a fellow PSD parent. My oldest son attends Kinard Middle School, my daughter is in 4th grade at Kruse, and my youngest son is in 1st grade at Kruse. That means I’m not just part of the Kruse staff, I’m part of the Cougar family. We are HUGE Cougar fans, so if you see me or my crew around town, come say hi!
Inside the lab, we’re not just learning how to use technology. We’re learning how to create with it. Students might code a game, design something in 3D, create a video, explore AI, learn about digital citizenship, or discover that the printer has once again decided it needs a dramatic pause. I also help share the Kruse story through our social media, digital content, and marketing, because every great school has stories worth telling.
Outside of Kruse, I run my own media and technology company, creating hands-on experiences and after-school opportunities where students can build, invent, design, and explore emerging technology. I believe every kid has something brilliant inside them waiting to be created. My job is to help give them the tools, confidence, and space to let it out. Welcome to the Kruse Computer Lab, where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is contagious, and there are probably way too many browser tabs open. 💻🐾
I’m so glad you’re here! My goal is to create a space where everyone feels welcome, safe, and comfortable sharing their thoughts, ideas, and perspectives. We won’t always agree, and that’s okay. In fact, learning from people who see the world differently is one of the best ways we grow.
Let’s make this a place where we listen with curiosity, speak with kindness, and treat each other with respect. Whether we agree, disagree, or land somewhere in the wonderfully complicated middle, every thoughtful voice has value. There’s always something we can learn from one another.
Thanks for being part of this community and helping make it a place where people feel heard, respected, and encouraged to participate. Bring your ideas, bring your questions, and bring your curiosity. We’re all here to learn, connect, and make the conversation a little better together.
