Waived Fees
Extracurricular activities and school fees are waived for students who are enrolled in the McKinney-Vento Program, increasing access to students regardless of financial stability. This also may include activities that are not school sponsored.
McBackpacks
What: Bags of food sent home to students on Fridays to keep them fed over the weekend.
ANY student can receive McBackpacks.
Hygiene Items
What: Shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, pads, and tampons.
ANY student is welcome to stop by room 198 to discreetly pick up hygiene items.
The PHS Health office also offers similar items.
Clothing
What: Winter coats, snow boots, gloves, and other clothing necessities.
All shoes and clothing are provided through a partnership with Homeward Alliance.
Family Support
What: Medical resources, rent assistance services, transportation, housing, and community resources.
Our Family Liaison, Nicole Gawronski, helps connect families with these services.
Holiday Assistance
What: Food for holiday meals, turkey, presents for under the tree.
Any family can be referred to receive Holiday assistance through one of several community services.
