Listen to Ms. V read the beginning of the book Stress Can Really Get on Your Nerves! By Trevor Romain and Elizabeth Verdick.
Optional Activity: You will need paper and pencil/pen. Follow along with Ms. V as she does a quick 'stress test' with you and then at the end of the video, write a list of everything you feel stressed about on a piece of paper. Then take another piece of paper and draw a circle. Take the list you wrote and figure out the things on your list that you can control. Write those things you can control on the inside of your circle. Look at your list again and decide what things you have no control over and write these things on the outside of your circle. Good job!
Remember to concentrate spending your time on the things you have control over and take steps to help yourself feel better about these things inside your control. Don’t spend your time worrying about the things you cannot control.
