Expectations for Absences

Any time you are absent, go to our class page in Google Classroom. Open the assignment for the lesson you miss. You can find assignments under the tabs called ‘Stream’ or ‘Classwork’. Read the Learning Target and Success Criteria for the lesson. Then read any class notes attached to the assignment.

When you return to school, ask me for a copy of the notes you missed. Put the notes in your Interactive Notebook on the right-hand side of the day's lesson. Don't forget to write the topic in your Table of Contents! Remember, you are responsible for reading the notes in Google Classroom.

Don’t forget to keep up with homework when you are absent. You should work on the practice activity (maze, dot-2-dot, game) you chose for 15-20 minutes before every lesson. Write your name on your practice activity and keep it in your binder while you are working through the problems.

If you are going to be absent for several days, send me an email so that we can work out a plan that will help you to keep up. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions or if you need help finding anything.
