Lesher IMPACTS Application

The goal of this application is for you to walk away with something you can use in the future, whether you are accepted or not. Make sure to complete your resume BEFORE turning in your application! Everything you need to complete the application is below.

FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY AND ASK IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF ANYTHING.

All applications are due by Friday, May 1st

NOTE: Your application will be scored using this rubric.

Students will receive feedback on their application after applications are assessed so you can find areas of strength and areas for improvement. Please use this as a tool for growth!
Students who achieve a level "7-8" on all parts of the rubric are automatically entered into the class!
Remaining students who make our cutoff score will be put in a lottery and chosen via a randomized lottery.
If you make the lottery but are not selected, you will be put on our waitlist (we usually have a handful of students accepted from our waitlist). In that case, all students on the waitlist will be reentered into a new lottery so see who is accepted into the class.
Students who don't make the cutoff will not be accepted.

Part I: Create a Resume

Part III: Self assess your application

Open this rubric and make a copy. Then, grade each section of your application by circling or higlighting the score you think you will get for that section. Turn this in with your application.

Part II: Get 2 teachers to recommend you

Ask two Lesher staff members to sign this recommendation form - these are two teachers who would recommend you for this class.

NOTE: These teachers do NOT need to write a letter of recommendation, they just need to sign their name on the form.

Part IV: Turn in your application online AND in person by Friday, May 1st

2. Print your resume (front to back) and turn it in to the box in Mr. Mayer's room (room 12) with your teacher recommendation form and completed self assessment.
