STUDENT-FRIENDLY CURRICULUM BASED ON COLORADO STATE STANDARDS, INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE STANDARDS, AND SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING
I can move correctly. I can show skills and strategies in sport and games that enable me to experience success and enjoyment.
I can train myself and others. I understand the benefits of physical activity, the components of fitness, and the reason why I should be physically active for my lifetime.
I participate regularly in all sessions. I strive for 60 minutes of physical activity daily.
I can evaluate my fitness levels and performance to set attainable goals for personal improvement.
My value of physical activity, fitness, and health is communicated by the way I participate in movement and learning.
Our Physical Education Curriculum is based around the Social-emotional learning wheel (below left).
We typically have 5 units a semester (below right).
We embed specific social skills within each unit (below middle).
