In ProELA, I teach reading and writing skills through Read 180 and System 44. They are intensive reading intervention programs designed to meet the needs of students reading below grade level. These programs directly address individual needs through differentiated instruction, adaptive instructional software, high-interest literature, and direct instruction in reading, writing, and vocabulary skills.
Student skills will be continuously monitored using the Reading Inventory and Phonics Inventory throughout the course of the program. These tools are used to determine student progress towards learning goals and objectives.
