Question: What is a free agent?

Answer: A free agent is a student that wants to play in the tournament but doesn't have a group to play with. Free agents will be placed on a team by the Tournament Directors.

Question: Who do I pay my $5 fee to?

Answer: All team members pay the team captain, and the team captain will make a $30 payment to Mrs. Varn in the main office.

Question: What happens if the Tournament Directors do not approve my team name? 

Answer: The tournament directors will assign you a school approved team name.

Question: Can a friend from another school or my parent play on my team?

Answer: Teams must be made up of current Kinard Middle School students only. Former Kinard students, friends from other schools and adults cannot play in the tournament. 

Question: Will there be food at the dodgeball tournament?

Answer: Yes. There will be concessions available for purchase in the cafeteria. All food must stay in the cafeteria. 

Question: What teams will I play against in this tournament?

Answer: You will play against a variety of teams made up of 6th, 7th and 8th graders, all males, all females and mixed teams.

Question: What do I get if I win?

Answer: The male team, female team and mixed team with the most wins will be awarded "Kinard Dodgeball Tournament Champion" T-shirts.

Question: What happens if one of my teammates is sick or can't make it on the day of the tournament?

Answer: Your team will play down a player for the duration of the tournament.

Question: What if two teams choose the same or similar team names? 

Answer: The Tournament Directors will reach out to the team captains to ask for another name for their team. 

Question: Can I switch between the red and blue division?

Answer: Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate requests to switch divisions with the amount of teams signed up.
