Taking Pictures of Homework
Use your phone or laptop (ask your parent for help with your specific phone).
For laptop:
At the bottom of your screen in the search bar type: camera.
Click on the app and it will activate your camera.
Hold up your work, it is okay that it looks backwards now.
Make sure to save the picture.
Resize and even Crop it so that just the work is showing.
Consider putting the paper on a clipboard so it is firm and has a dark background or use your comp book.
Only take a picture of one piece of paper at at time.
Test the quality of your picture by zooming in on specific words and numbers, can you read it?

Troubleshooting Camera and Microphone
Restart your computer
Make sure the microphone is not muted
On some devices the F4 key is used to mute the built in microphone.
You would see a microphone and a white light on the F4 key. Clicking the F4, OR Fn key + F4 together will toggle the mic.
If the white light is on then the mic has been muted.
Verify that your camera and microphone are working
Go to your Windows Flag and type Silverlight in the Start menu where it says Type here to search.
Click on Microsoft Silverlight. Choose the Webcam/Mic tab.
This is where the user will see if Video and Audio are working properly. Under Video Source, you should see an image of yourself (pictured to the right).
As you are speaking, the green bar under audio source will move up and down.
Contact Mrs. Louk if you have followed these steps and are still having difficulty with your camera or microphone.
